Weight Loss Myths

There are so many myths about losing weight. They come from old wives tales, social media, magazines, radio, and television. They can be detrimental to healthy weight loss. Here I will list a few.

1. Eating fat turns directly into body fat…. False, eating too many calories causes body fat

2. Muscles use the fat directly from the area they are in….. False, you cannot do sit-ups and cause only the abdominal fat to burn away

3. Eating late at night makes you gain more weight….False, choose to eat only when hungry and eating late at night may be the only thing that fits your schedule

4. Eating breakfast increases your metabolism….False, increasing muscle increases metabolism

5. Eating lots of small meals increases metabolism…False, it can lead to eating excess calories

6. Carbs make you gain weight……. False, eating more calories than you use makes you gain weight

I hope you enjoy! And here is a pic from a recent rise of mine on the tail of the dragon.
