Meet the Physician
Seth Jarrell, MD
Internal Medicine & Obesity Medicine, board certified. I treat overweight and obesity as the diseases they are — because fixing that fixes a lot else.

Dr. Jarrell grew up in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He studied chemistry at the University of South Alabama, with a minor in history, before earning his medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
He started in primary care Internal Medicine, but kept finding the same root cause behind disease after disease: obesity. Wanting to treat that root cause rather than just its downstream effects, he trained to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine and transitioned his practice fully into Obesity Medicine. He’s been practicing in Florence, Alabama since 2017.

Why I do this
From Dr. Jarrell’s own videos: real talk about GLP-1 side effects, insurance denials, and what actually works — no fluff.
Family, the outdoors, and staying active
He lives in Killen, Alabama with his wife and their three children, and tries to build the same balance he encourages patients toward — time outside, time with family, and a life that isn’t only about the scale.
